Help phone cant update dont know why?

have the samsung galaxys24g SPH-D710, VER 2.3.6 S:D710.10.S.EK02 BUILD NUM GINGERBREAD.EK02
updates will not install on phone getting reboot then triangle with yellow examination mark and little green android. not sure what to do, I did flash phone a while back to fix the hotspot app. I would like to get the phone back to where it was with out losing data. please help.

The triangle and explanation point are telling you that the ROM has been flashed/rooted. In this state you won't get the updates from Sprint. I don't know a lot about rooting but I believe you can use this "Odin One-Click" to un-install root. Read carefully and see if it fits your needs. There are two restore files to chose from. Be sure to download the restore file that preserves your user data (see # 2).
