I'm not really familiar with your phone or the available roms but I will move the thread to the transform ultra all things root forum.
There will be others there with experience with the different roms who can help you out.

Don't use rom manager. you'll brick your phone. use clockwork mod to flash roms. there are 4 amazing roms out now, $hevron ROM, MrRee??? ROM, prime ROM and Star-scrom (5 if you count $hevron's stock rom). I find they are all great, but each one has its unique look and system apps. check the forums in "all things root" to find the roms and for further instructions.

@tyler yes thats why it is VERY important to back up your current ROM incase anything goes wrong you will always be able to simply go back.

@gkak i thought ROM Manager was from CWM?

it is but from what I hear if you try and flash from rom manager it will mess up your phone (I think its a Samsung thing). flahing roms can be done from clockwork mod by rebooting phone, pressing volume down + power etc but not from the rom manager app

From what I've gathered the reason why rom manager will not work is because our phone is not officially supported by cwm and those of us that have cwm aren't using an official version of cwm but rather a modified version that works for our phone thanks to the hard work done by interdepth.

Well see the thing is when i type in ROM manager in the market it says i already have it installed and shows ClockWorkMod as the dev. When i look for clockworkmod i still see it as rom manager with cmw as the dev.

That's right. But.
The reason is bc our phone-transform ultra- is not one of the phone actually suppoorted. So we have to uninstall the app-rom manager- and manuallly push a version of clockworkmod that interdepth made for us to use. You can find the link for that forum with the instructions on how and what to do here:

As far as other roms: take the advice of gkak. Interdepth and chev have made two of the best roms I have seen so far for this phone.

Hope that helps out.
