pay $90 for s2 or get paid $20 4 e3d?

SLIDEWAYS

Newbie
well i went back and forth between the photon and the e3d
and i decided on the e3d...
well after thinking it through, $50 for the e3d is good
but $119 for the s2 4g touch and i've heard nothing bad said about it and the specs look great
so thats it getting the s2 4g touch right pocket will be $120 lighter but its worth it right...
well making sure amazon had the best deal and i find walmart has it for $90
oh ya score!
well maybe not because they also have the evo 3d for $30 and you get a $50 visa gift card (so basicly walmart will pay me $20 minus tax to get the evo 3d!?!?!?!?!)

so im back to not knowing what to do?
do i pay $90 and get an amazing phone
or do i let walmart give me a brand new evo 3d and have $20 more in my pocket rather than $90 less in my pocket?

i mean i know it's not a huge ammount of money im talking about but thats $110 difference in price
having $110 more money picking one over the other is always a plus in my book
and the evo 3d is still a solid acceptable dual core phone that will handle my everyday needs for the next 2 years right?

sorry for the rant just this is the first time i have actually done research and found a better price rather than how i used to do it when i got a new droid (usually i'd walk in to verizon and go thats the best u got? ok i'll take it)

basicly my question is
if it were u would u take the evo3d over the s2 4g touch based on a $110 price difference?
and the evo3d is pretty good right?

I think you've got several good opinions here: http://androidforums.com/sprint/509903-moving-sprint-but-need-help-deciding.html

But, Only you can decide. One thing, if you use GPS a lot, I was not impressed with the GPS on the SGSII, takes a while to lock, if at all when your in a building... (I've seen the issues on mine and my friends.. she actually went through two because she thought the first one was bad.. so thats three SGSII's with an iffy GPS). Whereas the EVO 3D locks almost instantly every time. EVO 3D's battery isnt bad.. but SGSII's is pretty amazing.

Anyways.. It sounds like you've heard several opinions from several people... just go get one.. if you don't like it, you've got two weeks to exchange it. :)

letting a salesperson (or anyone, for that matter) tell you what phone to buy.. never a good idea.

for sure, i think im just going to go with the evo3d and use the money i saved towards finishing my sleve

and yes i know it's never a good idea
last time i did that i knew i wanted the droid x (first 4+inch screen droid i had seen plus 1ghz processor and 720p hd! talk about love at first sight especially since i had been walking around with a htc droid eris in my pocket that was probably the worst android phone ive ever used)
and when i walked in the 2 top phones at the time were the droid x
and the galaxy (i think sprints version was the captivate or something?)
and i stood there playing with both for a minute and started leaning towards the galaxy and when i told the salesmen he said he'd walk away that i should think for another minute or 2. at the point i said ok droid x it is he seemed to be hinting away from the galaxy and i went there for the dx in the first place

maybe it was a dumb move on my part maybe it was smart idk, i know i love my droid x and if the evo3d can do everything the droid x i have does i'll be perfectly happy with it.... i hope?
im really indecisive when it comes to phones since they roll out new ones so fast anymore it seems like the top dog today is garbage tomorrow?
i know i've had my dx since about 2 weeks after they came out and to this day i get people with iphones and other droids looking at it like it's alien technology they've never seen before
and even tho the evo3d is almost a year old
if the specs speak for the real world performance it should be a stout phone to replace my droid x

As someone who has played with a 3vo and just bought a SGSIIET4G, I highly recommend the Samsung. It's a great device. I paid $200 for mine, and I don't have any buyers remorse.

Nice to see that you finally moved on from the HERO, congrats. ;)

Sounds like you got a good deal! You should be happy with that phone! As far as ICS, nobody knows exactly when the EVO 3D will get ICS. However, it has been officially confirmed by HTC for the upgrade, which is a very good thing.
