The Doctor
Kies Air =/= Samsung Kies. I have both. They offer a different set of functionality.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

I didn't even know people actually used Kies.
I only installed it to see if there were any updates for my phone.

I see.A few reasons:
1) A cable charges the phone. I don't actually have a charger for my phone, the PC is the charger.
2) No software needed, USB disk mode, drag and drop.
3) Wifi might not be available, e.g. wifi is only available at home.
Took one look at Kies when I first got an Android phone. It looked and acted just like Nokia's Ovi - which no one liked. Most preferred the older version of Ovi which resembled a BB's interface. Haven't touched Kies since.
I see.
I only charge my phone using it's own charger
... What software are you talking about? You only need a browser, which I assume everyone already does...
And most places I go there's wifi, if not, I can use the cable still.
Only the app.Doesn't the device have to be running some kind of server software to do that? To make device's file system browsable over a network, e.g. FTP.
Comparing Ovi to Kies is an insult. Ovi>>>>Kies, that's without counting in the older PC Suite.
Kies only real use is for downloading the official updates. LOL.
Thought the update one was Mini Kies.
I was referring to the full managing type suite.
