I imagine someone else will take the torch but it may take much longer.
 
Not quite sure what it means really. The poor chap got spammed everywhere with people asking when it was ready. He had already said it would come and not to ask but hey ho people cant be patient and look where it gets everyone!

There was work done recently if you look at the code sharing site but who knows what will happen. Shame really.

Still at least we will have soon a fully working unofficial cm9.x (based on 4.0.3 ICS) and MIUIv4 (again unnofficial) to play with. Mind you as soon as the Galaxy S3 comes out ill be changing phone :)

i wanted cyanogenmod but looks like the link in the xda forums are not working
so can someone please upload all the 3 files(the rom , update and fixes)

Which version were you looking at? There are several! Grifs CM7.1 (with fixes) was for me the most stable. Most the customer roms based on 7.2 suffer massive battery drain. I can point you in the right direction (where to get working links) If you tell me which one you want to try.

I want cyanogenmod 7.1 with the base rom , update and the fixes

7.2 is out unoffically - has been for a while. As for official see above!

This isn't rooting its a custom ROM (modified version of android 2.3.7) you'll need root, clockworkmod recovery to install. If you want to uninstall you'll need knowledge of Odin and a copy of your firmware.

Installed it yesterday. Very smooth and fast. Battery is the best I have seen in a CM ROM. GPS and WIFI work very well. (latest G maps works).


Only bugs I've found is torch does not work and when you finish a call you get a black screen for a few seconds, but hey this is a nightly release and these issues should be ironed out in the upcoming releases

Mine is ?? Try a reflash.

Again this is a nightly build not the final stable release. Put any bug reports on the Cyanagen forum and they will be looked at.
