Time travel to past is possible IMO .The only hitch is ,your brain will suffer irreparable damage (as with mimzy ) and every moment you live will give you a sense of deja vu driveng you insane since you have already witnessed an event which you should not have witnessed in the first place

No that would assume your age drops and there aren't 2 of you I don't see how that would be a loop

The thing is even your presence in the past would change it which would mean more than likely, like the butterfly effect, it would change something in the future not making you be able to build a time machine in the first place which would mean that you wouldn't have been able to go to the past to change what you did which would mean that you would build the time machine, and would keep repeating.

Not if the future is predetermined...then if you travel to the past it already happened and your not doing so would in effect change the past which would cause issues...Now if you couldn't travel to the future you would effectively shorten your lifespan since you would basically have to age your way back to the present...

Butterfly effect is over rated . There are many cancelling factors which may subdue/camcel the BE. Just because one human has gained an ability to Time travel doesnt mean other humans lose their abilities to decide and enact with accordance cancelling the BE . Only events with Random occurrence can be altered with BE ,which is too much to control for one human being even if he breaks the 4D barrier and survives

When I jump back in time, and kill off my ancestors, I'll never have been born. When that happens, I'll stop existing within time. I'll become immortal, but you will all forget about me. slowly at first, but eventually the world will for who I was.

According to this book, it takes the grandfather paradox and flips it around. Creating a potential grandmother paradox, which we don't need to get into here

They also raise the question that, maybe all of our beliefs on time travel come from people in charge, who don't want anyone going back in time to mess with their power (and wealth...) really, it's an interesting read.

I swear before I jump back, I'll remember the day the computer is invented and microsoft and make a killing in the stock markets. Probably apple as well, they are worth a bazillioin.

I'll try to party with Einstein too. I'll push him on the right path with his everything theory.... ;) Print off the wiki page, recite it to him, then he'll be able to solve it all before he passes...

You guys will have a much better world, and I'll be super rich. Super... rich. :)

I'll try to watch out for Roswell too, to see if aliens visit us....
