Did MetroPCS change their voice mail messages access ?

On my old Metro phone, when dialing into voice mail by holding down the #1 button or calling my cell number, the messages were heard. Now, since getting the Admire, once connected, there's a prompt to press "1" if you want to hear your voice mails. WTF ? That's why I call !

Why is this happening ? Can't find an option to eliminate the need to press "1". Is this happening to you ? A Metro rep said it's because of the Admire, but that doesn't make sense.

Guess no one here is having a problem.

Follow-up: My voicemail later announced that someone else is using my password and it hung up on me ! Huh ? After two hours of no access and this recurrent bizarre message, went to my friendly Metro dealer and they did something in their computer and two minutes later ALL was fine. Didn't even need to press one.

I ported my number from AT&T last year, and expected the AT&T voicemail greeting to change, but it didn't. I still get the same voice, even the same options to change greeting, etc. Accessing my messages via the standard method, I still have to press 1. Using Visual Voice Mail, all I had to do was press play.

Fortunately my VM doesn't force me to press "1". I only call my VM to get messages.

Perhaps you can eliminate the 1 prompt in Admin Functions of your VM.

Regarding the greetings being the same, both AT&T and metroPCS are using the same voicemail product.
