In call volume

Okay guys, here's my dilemma. Every time I make or answer a phone call my volume is on full blast. I can turn it down but it will always go back to being at full blast. Has anyone come across this before, and if so, how did you fix it? I just want the volume to stay at the level I set it. Apps don't seem to fix it permanently.

I would recommend factory reset.

One thing I have noticed is that the talk volume is different for regular settings, speaker phone, and bluetooth. Meaning each has it's own volume meter, and is reset when switching between them. For example, if I am on a normal call, turn the volume down to half, then connect the bluetooth, the volume will be 100% again. Now, if I return to normal phone call w/out bluetooth, it will have been reset to 100%.

With that being said, if I am not switching between regular/bluetooth/speaker, then my talk volume remembers it's setting. Hope this helps.

I was experiencing the same problem and thought I was going crazy. Then I realized my phone has an app downloaded called Sound Manager. It overrides the standard volume setting on the droid. It was set to turn off sounds at nite and restart in the morning at full blast. When I changed the settings in the app, the volume was working properly. Bottom line, you may have an app that is overriding your volume controls.

Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone noticed that the call volume is waaay too loud with a wired headset? I keep the call volume at the minimum (1 out of 7) and it's still a bit too loud. Anyone else have this problem?

Wow, you really need to turn the volume down? I like to get at least twice more the volume I'm getting now on max.

I would love to be able to bump my max volume up a couple of notches. For me this is the weakest aspect of the phone. I'm really shocked that max volume is so low.

I agree, I wish the ear piece volume was louder. Any chance that can get fixed in the ICS update?
or is there an APP to fix it?
