Droid Razr Maxx Video Recording Test at 1080p (concert video)

Posting this because I was searching for something like this before I bought the phone. Hope I can help someone else out!

Here's a video recording I took with the Droid Razr Maxx on 1080p w/ image stabilization enabled. I was looking for:

- How well it handles loud audio vs a high noise level (my old Incredible failed miserably with this)

- Audio/video sync (with the lights)

- Accuracy of colors (with the lights)

- Video quality / how video processes fast lighting changes

- Negative effects of image stabilization

- Zoom

etc. In any case, in my opinion it passed all the tests with the exception of zoom (which sucks.)

All in all really impressed with the video.

Not bad, certainly sounds better than concert video from my S2 or any HTC phone I had. Still doesn't sound anywhere near the audio quality of the iPhone 4s, thats one thing I did love about that phone. Band sounds good, I will have to check them out as I am a fan of that Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater prog rock sound.

I've seen worse video from "professional" straight-to-video movies. You're right about the zoom - it was something other than smooth. The rest is very well done!

I shot some short clips at a recent Radiohead show. The camera performed better in low light than I expected. The sound was decent, much better than my last 2 htc phones.

There is a concert audio setting in the video settings that I think does help quite a bit with the audio at concerts. Did you try that out?

This hands down destroys my Incredible at video at concerts.
