Do I take the plunge or wait?

I am planning on buying a One x to replace my Desire next week but need some final reassurances that the phone is worth having.

My initial worries were that the battery wouldn't be able to cope but after reading these forums it appears that this will behave as well as my Desire which I am more than happy with.

My main concern is now to do with the speed of the device. After reading the speed issues thread I am unsure whether the device is going to cut the mustard or not.

What should I do? Should I buy now or wait a month or so and see what fixes come along?

It does have its issues but I would say they're minor and not a deal breaker by any means. It's certainly a massive step up from the Desire which in itself is a cracking handset.

I'd say yes.

Hey there

I have actually been quite impressed by the battery. I was worried - but coming from an aging Samsung Galaxy S1 it is in fact a huge improvement. I've been listening to music and casually browsing the web for hours and it barely makes a dent on the meter.

I used to have a HTC hero which was dire in more than one aspect, but particularly on the battery front. I'm happy to see HTC have made significant improvements across the board.

Go for it, you will at least match the battery use that the Desire had, and it's a beautiful phone, you won't be disappointed.
