Help Battery Life? o.o

So I leave for school at about 6 am and that's when I unplug my Epic 4G Touch (100% battery).
I don't take it to school yet because it's not activated but when I come back from school at 4, it's at 75% battery.

Is this normal? Because I've heard people say it should last at least 12 hours with heavy use but it loses a quarter of its battery from 10 hours of no use.

Are you leaving WiFi on? Is there an app(s) running in the background? But like you explained, you should not see that much drain when it is not even in use. I would download the app System Panel and see what apps are active or constantly running in the background. I would also check the Battery Usage in the Settings menu and see what part of the OS is causing the most strain.

I turned wifi off and it was 89% when i got back home.
and is it right if it says thr Android OS took 59% of the battery life in 4 hr and 26m?

That is a fairly normal OS usage level without the display on or the phone in use. 89% is not necessarily bad, but there still may be a rogue app constantly running in the background or trying to sync. Conversely, you can try the app Battery Calibration to condition the phone (you will need to be rooted though).

Ideally if the phone is laying idle, nothing should even show up in the task manager. But yeah, go ahead and end any apps running before you leave it for extended periods of time, or I would just leave the phone off if you don't plan to use it while you're out and about.

So I took mmy phone to sschool and I had my brightness to the lowest, wifi bluetooth gps w/e all off.
I unplugged it from yhe charger at 6:05am
I listened tto music for about 45 minutes and it was down to 94%. Then I played some games for 15 minutes (temple run) and I browsed the internet for an hour.
At that point it was down to 60%. It was 7:40am
Then I went throughout my day not using.it (killed all apps) and when I checked my phone at 1:45, it was at 50%.
Is that normal?

Also I'm using widget locker pro... but.the dev said it shoulsnt drain much battery

The display and the CPU are going to be your biggest drains on the battery. If you are playing a game or browsing the web, then your system is demanding a lot of energy.

So far, the battery life on mine has been a dramatic improvement over the Galaxy S. With the Mesmerize, I couldn't make it to lunchtime over 50%, and that was sitting idle. Any use at all and it would be nearly dead by lunch.

I'm using my Galaxy S II off and on for calls and texts throughout the day, minor web browsing and app usage. Usually around 60-70%(ish) at 5:00 pm. Coming off the charger at 6:00 am.

I've had one or two days of moderate-heavy usage for 12-14 hours, and drained it down to 15% on those days.

So.. the battery life was doing ok until it was becoming a bit shorter than usual..
I unplugged the phone at 6:00am and I didn't turn it on at all until 8:40 and it was at 93 or 92%.
Then I browsed Facebook for like 10 minutes, turned it off and didn't turn it on until 10:30 and its almost 70%. My brightness is the lowest and wifi, 4g, Bluetooth andgps are off.
And I even tried putting the light on the capacative buttons off

How is your signal? That will play havoc as well if you are in a bad signal area as it is searching for signal or constantly switching between 2g/3g thus keeping the radio going thus keeping your phone going into deep sleep.

Hm.. that might actually be the reason why..
In most of my classes I only get 1-2 bars if I'm lucky.
Is there any way to help this?

You can try going into airplane mode in class. That will turn off all the radios.

I'm assuming you can't take calls or surf the Web during those times. If you need a connection that may not be a good idea.

great point and only take seconds to enable or disable.

Thanks LaTuFu, your advice actually helped haha :)
And with the beautiful widgets toggle, its not too time consuming to do :P
