Help Spectrum has IMEI instead of MEID ?

I am probably being too simplistic about this. But... My LG Spectrum ( purchased from ebay seller) has an IMEI # instead of the MEID# which I'm use to seeing. I'm a VZW user. When I google IMEI the info leds me to believe this is for a GSM network. VZW is CDMA ( which is why I can't buy & use a Galaxy Note on VZW). This is confusing me. The IMEI is activated on VZW and working just fine on 4G LTE. What's the simple answer ? Or the detailed answer and I'll try to follow along :)

I don't know the reason but that's what I've seen on all Verizon 4g phones. No MEID, instead IMEI. They seem to serve the same purpose, when I've called Verizon to confirm before buying a phone, that's the number I give.

My LG Spectrum from AmazonWireless for Verizon had an IMEI not MEID as well. As the previous poster indicated, it's as expected.

I think what confused me was the info I was seeing which indicated IMEI as a GSM phone. My previous understanding was that a GSM phone could not be used on a CDMA such as VZW. Apparently I misunderstood, or mis read the IMEI info. All this because I was trying to make an unlocked Note fit my VZW account :D

IIRC there's a rumor that the Spectrum has a GSM radio and that Verizon will activate it in the first half of the year. Maybe it will come along with ICS?

Guys, I think it's because Verizon's LTE phones require SIM cards. Technically, LTE is a form of GSM... it's just that Verizon uses CDMA for voice and EVDO, while it uses LTE for, well you know.
