New SPL?

Newbie
I am lost.

I want to update my rom and the rom I want says it used the new SPL.

Which one is the new SPL?

I currently have the HardSPL.

I am currently running JF 1.51ADP w/ custom hero theme.

I was just wondering if I can switch to a diff devs rom. Like cyanogen's rom or someting

if you are rooted and have the Hard SPL you can switch to any build of rooted Android just understand that when switching from one build to another or one Dev's work to another you will most likely have to ALT+W (wipe) your phone...

That is actually false. The new SPL refers Haykuro's special SPL, that is needed for most newer roms. Hero roms are no longer slow by any means and in fact are as fast as OEM cupcake. Drizzy Drake's Hero roms are VERY FAST. NO LAG with widgets on 7 screens.

I test the builds constantly and while it is faster "WITHOUT sense ui" it is still much slower than Cyanogen or Soul Life builds.... While i do agree they have MADE GREAT strides in optimising and performance they are still not up to par with speed of other builds (at least other rooted builds)

Have you tried Drizzy's? It HAS Sense UI and it is superfast. No one that I know is exp. any type of lag or slowdown after a few hours of use.

Honestly I test almost all the builds as I provide a d/l page for the people of this forum which is now being migrated to a wiki with the help of Swizz and Devolio... All I can say is it didnt hold up to my testing for speed and function, but if you prefer HERO builds you will support them... thats just a matter of personal choice I am trying to view it from an unbiased perspective but am in no way able to make your personal dissions for you and that is part of what makes android great...
