Could someone tell me if the gps can obtain a fix in airplane mode (with all other chips turned off) and if it can be turned off and then on again 5 minutes later and get another fix. On my stock rom it works but if i turn it off for more than a minute it wont reconnect for another 50. GPS test is the recommended tool (app).

Also what version of android is this? 2.3.???????? Update 2.3.7

I have since looked in the rom and I dont see any gps file in the system/bin directory there should be a gspd or modified one (hopefully modified and bugs fixed) and i have flashed this rom and it doesnt startup at all. I had some problems with my stock rom which are illustrated here GPS Works Once (No GPS reconnect for 50 minutes) - xda-developers with the gps only working once and not reconnecting for 50 minutes apparantly a gingerbread bug- it could be hardware though, in any event GPS is not available on this mod at the moment besides that it looks like a nifty piece of work. I look forward to the final.
 
first off boraichee id like to thank you for taking the time in making this. I know it was a headache and a half and still is but when its all fixed and finished you can be happy and well rested and hopefully people will sent you some donations. Other than that i have tried this ROM and i wont lie wheni had it..yes i said had...it was nice amaxing phone worked playstore worked after i waited half hour camera worked mms and everything. Only thing that didnt work was Data and hat stupid roaming thing. So my question is if i flash this is the roaming thing gone? cause idk if i flashed alpha 4 or the newest one but i know even with the mms fix it was still not working and i could access the web whatsoever even on wifi if not mistaken. so thats basically my question if all that works then i guess ill just hop to it and start using it on the daily basis. overall great work and look forward to beta 3 xD
 
oh and what if i use CWM that isnt yours will it brick or will it work with flaws or will it not work at all or have you not tried it with beta1?

Its weird how your phone reboots like that. Few other people have told me this happens never has for me. Im not sure how to fix the signal bars but im looking into it.
 
i finally got my gps and compass working, but noticing that when i go to google maps or latitude, wifi turns on, even tho i have it turned off in settings as well as use wifi connection for gps.is this normal?
edit..nvm..after i applied settings i rebooted, now its fine..gps is good on wifi, but not data
edit, gps works but there is no icon in status bar
 
Rom looks great thank YOU for taking the roaming indicator off, phone runs smooth and the only issue is i cannot send picture mesgs. is there a work around for this or is this going to be fixed and omplemented into beta 2 or am i the only one with mms issues?

Compass (software orientation sensor) should work auto without any config, if it didnt work in another rom its likely caused by corruption etc.

are you referring to wifi/ cdma location/gps services or standalone gps? If its Standalone gps (sat dish icon in the power control menu) with nothing else on, how did you get it working? did you copy the gpsd file to the bin directory from another rom because its not there in this rom. I believe they are reprogramming it, hopefully without the bugs that i have with other roms i.e. it only works again 50 minutes after turning it off for a few minutes or more.

Please let me know.

First off I want to start by saying thank you to the devs and everyone else who worked on this. its amazing!! but my wifi just turned itself off after like ten minutes of it running. can anyone tell me how to turn off this turbo 3g thing?

run the 3g turbo script, select the option to un turbocharge or whatever

yeah i redid it flashed and all and installed the fix and mounted it works. only issue i now have are these 2:

cant send multiple messages meaning if i type a long txt it sends to the users as for example: eroqn@!#$T%@!# 235T@%#T@oweubwo @%#T@#%

other issue is im getting a error message from play store (927) any thought?


as for error 927 it fixed itself i guess thank God. as for the txt issue its still there
