Differences between the HTC One X and the EVO 4G LTE?

Tempted to switch to ATT and get the HTC One X. I like the look of the phone a little more than the Evo LTE but I've had Sprint for 10 years and have had great luck with my original Evo. Can somebody tell me if there are any real differences between the two new phones? I'm ok with paying a little more monthly to have 4GLTE access with ATT. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

moved to a more general section so more eyes can see and offer opinions...

both phones are similar where it counts, i think the only thing is you are going to, as you already know, pay more for the package.

i would search google ,

https://www.google.com/search?sugex...chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=htc+one+x+vs+htc+evo+4g+lte

and/or head into the ATT store and look at it yourself.

how is ATT's network in your area and where you plan to use the phone?

you may also want to poke your head in the ONE X's door and see what they are saying about the device:

They are basically the same phone... The EVO LTE however has a SD card slot. That's about all I know as far as differences go, but for a lot of people that is a huge difference.

The EVO LTE is very similar to the One X... However, the EVO LTE has some upgrades. The EVO LTE adds the following: expandable memory (sd card slot), kickstand, dedicated camera button, and a Larger battery.

The biggest difference is the network they run on. Sprint does not have an LTE network so you'll be stuck on their EVDO (3G) network which is pretty slow. Only you can decide if that really matters to you. AT&T will put you on a limited data plan, which is a bummer coming from Unlimited but many people don't use more than 3GB anyway.

As far as the actual phone itself, I think most people would agree the One X looks 50x better than the weird design that is the Evo 4G LTE. The advantage to the Evo is the expandable storage, larger battery, and the kickstand. I think the dedicated camera button is a neutral personally. Other than that they're basically the same phone. Same processor, same display, etc.

For now... They are getting an LTE network shortly hence the reason for an LTE phone.

Yes, for now is correct. They haven't announced when LTE is coming to where I live, so I personally wouldn't expect it here until most of a 2 year contract is over. I would switch to Sprint if I could use the new Evo with network speeds that don't remind me of a 56k modem. :) Obviously this is all specific to where I live and I know many people that are very happy with Sprint.

To the OP. I tend to stand by the recommendation that you should pick your carrier first, your phone second. If AT&T is going to work out better for you than by all means get the One X, but I wouldn't do it for the phone alone.
