Help How to mirror my Exhibit II 4G to a TV screen

I have this great Slingbox app on my Samsung Exhibit II 4G and am itching to mirror the image to my big screen HDTV. I've searched everywhere for a software (or hardware) solution and can't figure it out. Anybody know how to do this?

One question - Do you have root access? If you're not familiar with this term, having root access is like having access to your router if you have a WiFi network (In other words, if an app requires access to a specific port but you don't have root access to your phone to give the app permission to use that port, THE APP WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY even though you may have cleared the way on your router)

That out of the way, if we were talking about a computer monitor, I would suggest using VNC because you could then (With root access) run a VNC server on your phone & use a VNC Viewer on your computer (The server would be the interface for the viewer to connect to your phone & display the homescreen on the monitor of your PC)

Problem with that is VNC Viewers weren't designed with mobile devices in mind. That means if you're running an app that only supports landscape mode, the display will look sideways on your monitor even though it looks the way it should on your phone (Games are a BIG problem in this area)

Then too, I haven't been able to try using VNC since I got my Samsung Exhibit II last week (Don't yet have root access nor do I have an SD Card) but I know this is true with my old Samsung Vitality though

Does this sound like your situation?

Cheers :D

Actually not a computer monitor. I just want my phone screen to be mirrored to my big, dumb HDTV... or my PS3 if necessary. All I want is to watch movies (using my Slingbox app) on the big screen. Why should this be so hard? It seems like a simple idea.

I don't think that would be practical. You'd do better to buy a Roku and use it to connect to the slingbox. You can get a Roku HD for $60 or less.
