Contact pictures

I just got a droid Razr last night and it took some time but I figured out how to sync my facebook contact pictures with the contacts in my phone. My question is in my dialer and text messenger, the pictures do not show up.

If "person a" has a picture in my phonebook, when they call or text it doesn't show up.

Anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it? I am fairly new the droid world, so I appreciate the help.
 
being that you are one step ahead of me, would you mind sharing what you did to get pictures from facebook as their picture under contacts? I have my facebook account sync'd but the pictures are not there.
With my previous phone all I had to do is press the settings button and select join, then it would bring up suggested contacts and there would be one from facebook.. this is not working for me.

Once I get my pictures figured out I'll do my best to help you too.. Just got my Razr today
 
well that takes care of the picture but what about all the additional details :confused:

and also using the stock texting app I have the same problem, as I did with my last android device. But I installed go sms pro and it takes care of the picture situation for messaging.

and for the dialer with above syncpix it works just fine

I went to device set up in the app list. Signed into Facebook. Then downloaded that actual Facebook app and signed in. Then I went to my contact that I wanted their Facebook pic as their contact pic and I hit join, then found their Facebook contact and joined them.
As for the pictures not showing up in text, I went to my contact and added a 1 to the front of their phone number, and it solved that problem. I am not sure why you have to do that though. I have all my numbers stored xxx xxx xxxx and their picture and facebook are attached to that. Why it doesn't work is beyond me.

I believe facebook gives you their number in a 1 xxx xxx xxxx format, and by adding the one you matched the same format, although I never had that problem with a joined contact with facebook on any of my other android devices..
And I am still having 0 success with the whole facebook and joining contacts.. I am hoping that when the ics update comes it will help solve my problem.
