Got my 16gb Pebble Blue on preorder today at Best Buy.....launch date is stated as June 21st

ok, I think I better understand your point, but I still disagree with your premiss. Bandwidth is limited and the carriers have to do something to maintain quality on their networks. Yes, it still applies to 2G/3G for some, but T-Mobile only applies the cap to 4G on 2GB plans or higher.

Anyway, you get bonus points for using a word I had to google the definition to :D

Also, sorry if I was somewhat indignant in my previous response. ;)

Nah. I think most are doing it for the $50. I pre-ordered the 16 thinking it was 32gb SD card. I'm mulling over my choice, but i think 16gb on-board plus 64 expansion is plenty. I could still record a few hours of HD video if i really wanted to. I dont plan on having 150 apps/games on my phone just because i can. Quality over quantity. Screw cloud storage.

People tend to want more and then abuse it. How many of those pictures are you going to look at over and over again? Or that movie or all those songs, will you really listen to them...in hopes that shuffle plays 40+ gigs of music?
 
I still want to figure out how to be my own cloud. I've got a server for it, but androids options for connecting to remote storage seem to be severely limited. Not having a system file explorer really kills me.

Anyone have any experience with this? I know that android has options for remotely connecting to LAC (VNC I think is the term), but once your on the network you still need to connect to the drive. It would be the same as being on my local Wifi. Good for Remote Desktoping into my PC, but what about the drive?
 
After thinking about it over night I decided to go w/ the 32gb. I'm already having to pay full retail so whats an extra $50 really.

I havent really looked too much into this but i think Plex might be able to do what you are asking. I personally use splashtop and the streaming of music and video (can be good)i did (while not buffered) is good on strong connections.
 
Compared to the launch of the Rezound, Razr, and GNex, the $250 price tag looked like a steal to me. Plus I used my last $50 new every two rebate from VZW, so I decided to go for the larger storage (32gb). I've never pre-ordered a phone before, so this is all very exciting to me! It's like waiting for Santa Claus, but you don't know when Christmas will arrive...
 
Just ordered a 32GB last night. I was on the fence, and right now I don't need 32GB, but then I thought back to all that I didn't think I'd need or use when I got my Dinc (my first smartphone) and decided that, for an extra $50, I'd rather have something I might or might not need than need it later and not have it because I was short-sighted. Plus I had $80 in discounts so the thing still only cost me $200. I have learned that, with technology, at least for me, I really have no idea how I'll be using what I have 6 months or a year from now, so I try to build in some cushion.
 
You won't regret buying the 32GB. Most of us will have these phones for the next two years. So it is better to have it than to need it. I know me, I'm going to need it.

you wont regret buying either to be honest. 16 + 64 or 32 + 64 is already way more than anyone could possibly need. Being reasonble. Just because i have 10tbs of hard drive space (which i do) and only 1-2tb left accounted for...i can honestly look through my drives and axe half of whats on there.
 
I've gone for the 16GB version + 64GB microsd card option. But im sure many large apps will choose too install to the internal sdcard and fill it up very quickly. :(

For me, I might not need the whole 32GB of internal memory, but I know I'd be kicking myself later if I didn't get it. Everyone has a different need for their phones. I use the camera and video a lot on my phone. I don't like having all my music, videos and pictures on cloud services only. I use cloud services as a back up only. I download pdf files on my phone as well. I think I need the space. I have a 32GB card right now in 3D with less than 5GB of space left. So I see my need for 32GB of internal memory since I'm going to have this phone for almost two years. Better to be safe than sorry.
 
So what are you guys preordering, already have ordered, or already have?

I was wondering what to take. I had the EVO 4G before, had problems with internal size but not much with even the 8 Gig card! Since a lot of my stuff was on the cloud (i.e. music on Google Music). So I decided to get 16GB, which should be more than enough for all internal stuff. Right? With 16gig + 64 gig, 80 should be more than enough.

This could have been a good poll thread. I'll probably go for the 32 gb as a minimum. I'm just greedy. Lots of music and media. Bring it on! :D
 
Quick question guys, what are the best type of microsd cards to get. Any specific company and specifications i should make sure.

I heard there are different types? like type 3 type 5 or something?

What is the best for a 32GB and what is the best for a 64 GB?

SanDisk is the best! Class 4, 6 and 10 cards are good. I think class 6 is good enough. Others like 10.
