Help Need Help Seriously

i've been searching for the solution for my problem, and so far i cudnt find one.

My HTC works fine, no screen flickering nothing at all.
what my unique problem is that, as my htc reaches to 50% charge, it starts acting like its in a red area zone. it crashes. I switch it one, and as it loads back to lock screen, it crashes again, and again and damn again , untill i put it on charge.
Initially i thought its a software bug,
i rooted my cell, installed custom rom ARHD 6.0, (didnt touch my kernal)
i was happy with the custom rom, battery got better, device became more smooth. but as it reached to 60%, bang. crashed, and crashed after every restart.

Help please.

Wow, that's a weird problem. Have you tried superwiping and reflashing the ROM?

Doesn't sound like a ROM issue personally, sounds more like a hardware problem.

Also, did you flash the boot.img before flashing the ROM?

I'm on ARHD 6.0.0 and don't experience this problem or heard of anyone that has this problem, I'd try superwiping and reflashing and if that doesn't fix it then I'd think about getting the phone replaced.

i guess i skipped flashing the boot.img .
let me try it out again and let me know, i personally feel that its a hardware problem. but i want to give it a try first.

i stayed in bootloader for a long time and it didnt turned off there, so did in recovery too.
As i plug my charger in, my rom starts operating.

I emailed HTC ONE X ppl. and i've got this reply

With reference to your query, please kindly update your phone to the latest software version since we have released a recent update which optimizes system performance as well as battery performance.

Meanwhile, you can also follow below steps to set your phone under safe mode for monitoring:

First verify that Fast Boot is not enabled, Settings > Power > Make sure Fast Boot is not selected. To enable safe mode:

1. With the device turned off.
2. Press the power button.
3. Once the device turns press and holds the volume down, once you see the splash screen.
4. Press and hold thevolume down button (DO NOT RELEASE THE VOLUME DOWN).

You will know it has worked because the device will give a brief vibrate or 3 quick vibes. Once it loads you will see on the “Safe Mode” on the bottom left of the screen. This disables all 3rd party apps and drivers from launching. Use the phone normally for 24-48 hours like this. Do not use 3rd party apps or install from the market or the test will be inconclusive.
If the issue will not occur under safe mode, please uninstall the 3rd applications.

Should the problem still persist when your phone is under safe mode, please kindly back up your personal user data and follow below steps to set your phone back to factory default settings:

Settings> Storage> Factory Data Reset"

Does everyone with an HTC ONE X get this latest update?

I'm from Canada, with Rogers. I got into system update check and I get nothing. I just got the phone today.

Or do I download the update from HTC website?

Did you tell HTC that you're rooted and on a custom ROM because these instructions look like they're for people on Stock?
HTC won't support a rooted phone, so the instructions will certainly be for stock. And if you go for a replacement you should unroot first.

I'd still push for a replacement, can't see a software error causing this.

yes, im unrooting my device and trying these tests.ill post an update step by step

Alternatively I'd hop over to the ARHD XDA forum and ask for help there because there's more people with more knowledge to help.

that would be great.

Check settings \ about. You may find that you already have the latest update...

I got my HTC One X from AT&T yesterday, and the latest update was already on it ;)

i tried every possible way but it didnt work out, its was the hardware problem after all.
I've sent it for replacement, hopefully my new htc one x will not have this issue.

Thankyou all for your help

They can tell it's been rooted though, as the bootloader will say Re-locked at the top of it.

The reason I ask is because I've a feeling mine is going to have to be returned soon and I'm anticipating a fight because my bootloader is unlocked so I'm interested in how this plays out.

well, that's a plus point for me to buy it from market :P
they dont check bootloader and stuff, they just replace it to a new one.
i replaced mine after using it a month. i rooted, flashed custom rom, did everything.

btw , why do u think so? any problems?

My G-Sensor won't callibrate and my screen won't rotate. I did have issues before, but a reboot resolved most of the time and it's been fine for about a month and a half up until Saturday. I've tried a number of fixes, to no avail. I've an app that will rotate it for me and I've mapped one of the capacitive buttons to open that app, but because it's not picking up any movement, playing certain games is nigh on impossible.

I've been working nights shift for the past week so I've not had the opportunity to try a new ROM, I finish tomorrow morning so if I'm not too tired, I'll flash ARHD or something else, see if the problem persists across ROMs. If yes, I'm guessing it's a hardware issue.

They did for me with my Sensation, I even told them it was rooted when I sent it off, they still replaced a couple of parts.

You're still under warrenty if you're rooted and it's a hardware problem.

btw the problem i had was cuz of sim card.
as i removed my sim card. it started working smoothly. i tried anyother sim and same thing started.

Anyways. New set doesnt have any issues so far.
