Oh yeah, he posted it as a take it or leave it kinda thing. He never said it was true or that he thought it was. He is a phone guide, a very knowledgeable individual, and a good friend of mine on here. I'm not saying what he said was wrong, just that a lot of people are just jumping on what he posted and thinking that it was a game changer for this phone. It wasn't. I'm just wanting everyone to chill and just do what he said and take it for the release date, if anything. Anonimac knows exactly what he is doing. He was just sharing some info with the forum, but a lot of people took it as new fact, when it's simply just a bit of information that is completely unconfirmed.

What has been tipped to me is nothing more than that. It is an HTC employee with access to internal memo's, apparently some info, dates, etc...

Having said that, what was said to me is inconsistent, erratic, contradictory, etc... so as i've said before, the only information i think is of any value is the date...April 17th is certainly a plausible date.

As you may have also noticed, i only posted what i was told here in the discussion and didn't touch the Spec thread because i don't think there's anything credible enough here yet to warrant anything but further discussion.

I think it's safe to say all of our previously reported and, to the extent possible, vetted, info and spec's are still the best data out there.
 
Since the wave was public, some dueshe came inn and we had to close it, so now its by invite only. PM me and I will add you. May take a while as I am in and out of the office....Or others can chime in that are in it and add you as well.
 
I really wish this thread wouldn't have been revived. It is a nightmare finding anything useful in this rats nest. Any new news takes forever to find, same goes for any rumors with some logical and factual backing, etc, etc. This thread is composed of a few useful posts and the rest are just a bunch of people with some crack head imaginations making up conspiracy theories. This has to be one of the worse forums I've personally seen. There is just no control of BS on this site.

I'm willing to bet those 3rd party news sites will be saying " Incredible now comes in a 4.3" instead of 3.7 according to sources inside Verizon."

You know they will be all over that info by the end of the day. You can't even go by most those sites because the info they report is from here.

The HTC employee could have been looking at an old memo too! Who knows. I don't think VZW is getting something IN PLACE OF the Incredible. Now maybe ALONGSIDE the Incredible. Sure, anything is possible, right?

If that were the case then we would be even BETTER off!

I really wish this person wouldn't be allowed to post. It's a nightmare anything useful from this rats post. They keep complaining that new news takes forever to find, same goes for any rumors with some logical and factual backing, etc, etc when all they have to do is look at the other sticky thread. This post is composed of a no useful points and the rest is just a bunch of whining by some crack head who has nothing better to do than complain. This has to be one of the worse posts I've personally seen. There is just no control of stupid whiny posts on this site.

That is just their stock response. I wouldn't read anything into it. And to the complainer, we can't help that there isn't any news right now. Just get over it or don't read the forum. It's that easy.

That is a cowardly statement. This forum is very well run and is very easy to find information. To isolate useful information, just quickly scan the post and look at the bottom of each post for people that have use the "Thanks" function. 90% of the time, if there are more a few people that use the "Thanks" function the information is of use. The post without "Thanks" you can skip.

First it was March 23rd, then it was March 27th, now it's April 17th....I wonder what the next plausible release date will be come mid April? Nothing against you, because I know you have nothing to do with it, but this is becoming increasingly frustrating.

Not to chap your buns, but NKT said possibly may.. So I mean potentially this thing could be closer to summer. Maybe VZW wants to launch closer to the iPhone, who knows what VZW wants to do. I'm not sure they even do lol

And I believe that's how most took it. I don't think anyone was getting their panties in a bunch over the news Anonimac posted (no offense to the ladies :)), but were merely extrapolating on it and it's "potential" ramifications.

Understand when the news stream is as dry as it is and you're waiting on pins and needles for any shred of credible information on the release date or specs on this phone, it's easy to take a piece of information that does come along from a respected poster - whether confirmed or not - and twist it a hundred different ways. No harm, no foul the way I see it, as 95% of the stuff posted here is speculation anyway, so why expect things to change now? :)

The key is the fact that at least they are starting to respond rather than simply ignoring the messages as they have in the past. Hope is a good thing when there is no real news trickling out in some time.

As for the complainer...notice that it is usually the ones that have 2 dozen or less posts? None of them useful, but rather complaints only. Here's a good idea for those that keep complaining: why don't you join in and see what you can dig up instead of having to be spoon-fed information?

That's right...he did say it could be May before it's released. I had repressed that memory. I'm gonna curl up under my desk now...
