Help HELP! TouchScreen failed!

Hi there,

today at one moment i was using my HTC magic on a call to my brother, and then 5 minutes later i try to unlock it on the pattern screen and the touch is not working! all the buttons work, however when i recieve a call all the phone does is play the ringtone and not show an incoming call! any ideas?

Have you downloaded any apps recently? Have you tried pulling the battery?
If none of those work, you may have to do a hard reset,, but wait for others to reply first.

The last app I downloaded was Astrid, but otherwise I havent downloaded any recently.
I tried a battery pull and it didnt work, but i did notice that the phone is taking alot longer now to boot up.

Yeah, after a battery pull it will take longer to boot. If that doesn't work then id suggest a hard reset.
 
My screen no longer responds to touches either. At first rebooting would restore it, clearing the internet caches seemed to briefly work too, but alas now it never responds to touch.

Tried pulling battery and restoring to factory settings to no avail.

Got my HTC Magic through Vodaphone in Australia. Shop assistant says it will take 3-4 weeks to send it off to be looked at. I
