Root {PORT} Behold 2 Stock ( No Twiz w/ Root & Busybox )

So I think it all worked.

Now when I type *#9999# into the dialer, I get this:

PDA: BH

PHONE: T939UVIJ6

I assume that's the updated one? Can't remember what the old one was, that's why I ask. :)

Yup that's the Updated Build... You can View the Kernel in about Phone.

@Everyone

How you guys Liking it?
I think it fast & there is two options for people that don't like the Landscape mode on the Home screen,

Aww bro, you put back the stock MMS. Is there anyway for me to disable the SMS notification on the notification bar? So that way i dont get double notification from twmms AND handscent?

I'm still factory stock, but I manually delete most apps. I deleted TwMms.apk, since I use Handcent. But I reload Mms.apk (xda version?) to enable MMS messages (just Handcent won't allow you to send or receive MMS). This app let's you turn off notifications, so I can use Handcent's custom notifications.

So far I am enjoying it. The only thing to get used to is the UI differences between the Samsung apps which you kept vs the stock Android ones. Any progress on the bugfixing for the Galaxy port?

I'm definitely liking it man. It appears to be really fast. Thanks! :)

Naw... To be Honest I've not Touch the galaxy rom since I posted them.
I'm going to re-vamp the build though sometime next week with the new Kernel Mod so we don't have to hi-jack the playlogo file...

If I can get the Behold 2 Camera App working Correctly, that's going to be my Permanent build.

My last off-topic post: will the new kernel mod fix the vibrate and alarm clock issue of the Galaxy rom?

Thanks again for your hard work, your mod has made this phone infinitely more usable :)

Hey BH_MAN, you've already done more than enough, but I was just wondering how this whole AdvancedLauncher thing worked. Is it similar to Open Home? I only ask because I've always wanted my phone (mainly the app bar icon at the bottom) to look like the Nexus One's.

Is there a way I can do that? If it's too much, don't worry about it. Like I said, you've done a lot for us already! :)

clock issue? Um? I never had any problems...

Sorry, you missed my edit, it was in regards to the Galaxy ROM alarm clock and vibration issue... unless I missed an update in that thread!

I'll continue the discussion about the Galaxy ROM on the proper thread:o

I like it but it's not running as smooth as the last build. I'm going to do a soft reset and see if it helps any.

BTW - you said don't do a factory reset since it will erase all the presets, right?

Sorry for my naivety, but of the bug fixes that came out with the OTA update, what was fixed by the kernel but not fixed by the software updates you added to your ROM? Is that the battery life issue?

In other words, if we're using your post-OTA-update ROM installed on top of the old kernel, is it suggested we ODIN to the new kernel and reinstall the ROM?

maybe i missed that, but i dont remember him saying that? BH_MAN can you confirm this because i also always do a soft reset after installing a new rom!

Yup at post #517

ok thank you!

@BH_MAN is your revision 3 kernel included in this one? Because under about phone the kernel says 2.6.27 root@sept-36 #1

by the way this rom fixed my problem i was having with the clicking sound turning back on! Thank you!

No, you don't have to reinstall the ROM.

Just download his new kernel (PDA) file, and use only the files included in the zip file.

Behold2_partition.ops
BH-MAN-ODIN.tar.md5

Put those two files into Odin and begin the process.

It should look like this:

*Ignore the Invalid Image Type error that initially pops up when you select BH-MAN-ODIN.tar.md5.*

Mine works great. In fact, my battery life is awesome. I even tried to kill it last night but enabling WiFi and GPS, and leaving it off the charger. 8 hours later, only 7% down.
