Software update?

4 minutes? Do you clear your cache every time you boot or what? I never have it take that long, unless it's the first boot after clearing cache and installing a rom. even then it doesn't take THAT long.
I'm think I'm just gonna restore it to factory with the ZTE software. Get another month of a smooth running phone

There's no reason you should be having boots take that long. WTH did ya do to it? lol. Like I said, only time i've ever taken near that long, was coming from a fresh rom install.

I havent gotten the text about the update:mad: But I gave my mom my prevail and I know boost did some sort of firmware for it recently, i saw the update pending on her phone yesterday and I installed it for her...the prevail was already on 2.3.6 so I am not sure what it updated.

I must admit I was giving my new warp time to see if it would act crazy but since I've had it, for almost a month the phone has maybe rebooted twice but I was playing dream heights and the warp absolutely hates it but I havent had any other issues...but I also didn't root this time...I miss screenshot and tethering but I probably wont re-root this time around, its crazy to have a non-dysfunctional phone after having so many problems

I am antsy for the update I must say...I wonder what it is too:)

With all my apps installed (158+) I have like 2 and a half min boot times

I called tonight and the Rep had No idea So then I asked for tech support they also had No idea what they were talking about.....but I know from talking we are not getting ics....... not happy now

Peeps...it is NOT ICS, i guarantee it. Boost just released the EVO 4G with ICS. They are not gonna provide ics to any previous device. They want you upgrading to a new phone guys. Money money money. Buy buy buy.

Boost does NOT do the updates at all. The manufacturer does....Boost has nothing to do with it.

We are receiving texts though... I would like to think that zte had nothing to do with that part... and the carriers have the final say on whether the updates get pushed or not

Wrong. If i remember correctly the first Firmware update was thru Boost Mobil via 3g only,it would not install thru wifi.It was in "update firmware" option within the phone back in the later part of November or December.I was a new warp owner then and if memory serves me it was B06 too B08 I may be wrong but im pretty sure i am not.

I hope this pending update will finally solve the freeze ups and constant rebooting. I can't even play Angry Birds for more than a few minutes without the phone locking up and rebooting. I don't like using task managers but if I wasn't using Advanced Task Manager on this phone it would be nearly unusable. I really want to love this phone but it's really frustrating. I know it could be a great phone. I've yet to receive the text though....

Yeah... all task killer does is shutdown an app and then Android automatically restarts it which is hard on the CPU and battery

Agree...Using a task killer is defiantly doing more harm than good,i do clean the cache a few times thru out the day and have only had a few reboots 3 since December.

I agree about the task killer but if I remove it,and I have, the phone will reboot numerous times a day. It's up 18hours today which believe or not is a new record.

Then its defiantly a App that is causing your reboots. You need to singel out which one or ones it is then you should be good as gold.Have you ever tried to remove apps one at a time to see?

Okay,I'll give watchdog a try. I have nothing to lose. I switched from Virgin to get this phone and if pending update is not a fix for this problem I will more than likely go back to Virgin and the new HTC phone. I'll report back. Thanks again for the tip.
