Side note: will anyone on here be Tweeting (or re-tweeting) during CTIA? I'd like to nail down a good source since I'm an 8-5er and won't be able to check up very often while at work.

I looked it up - the HTC in Bellevue, WA is only about 8-9 hours away from me. It's got to be the closest one. If this is just Eris or Droid (Droid has red and black color schemes, too) last-ditch promo garbage I will be PISSED.

i doubt if it would be the eris or droid. the timing seems to match up with the announcement on the 23rd so hopefully it is the promotional material from what you said about the weight of the box.

Engadget always does a good job with complete coverage on their website, and through Twitter, and they're always live.

Why would it be Droid promo stuff if it came from HTC? Also, I sell phones and when ever we get mocks and promo stuff it never comes from manufacturer. It always comes from the carrier.

Why would HTC be sending DROID materials?

We are moving at Incredible SuperSonic speeds, sorry you guys.

VZW uses overnight freight all the time - the inventory thing is not an issue - next week baby !!!

ya its not that big of deal for large companies to ship overnight. at my work we arent even that big but yet our overnight standard & priority are cheaper then what a normal person would pay for 2 day shipping. I could only imagine that verizon probably has a better deal then we do with fedex

The box is DEFINITELY NOT full of phones, that's for sure. It weighed 20-30lbs, tops. Very light, with one possible heavier object inside.

Awesome find Montana, lets hope something 'Incredible' comes out of the box. Just a quick thought, I dont think that HTC would be sending out any promo materials for the Moto Droid, so you can probably scratch that out :)

I think you have contributed actionable intelligence, Montana. Chances of sending anything other than new product release material for Sunday delivery are slim to none. The small quantity suggests the same. That box probably quacks like a duck because it IS a duck.

There's an announcement being prepared, and its likely Monday or Tuesday. Its still possible that its not the Inc, but there does not appear to be another credible candidate. As others have said, its entirely possible that they have a new name reserved for release, with Inc being simply a working title.

Hang on to your hats. I can smell an announcement, if not a release, within 48 hours.

Hey guys, been following this thread for weeks now and thought I would join and chime in on the discussion.

I remember seeing the Droid posters in Verizon's windows for a couple weeks before the Droid actually came out.

If I was able to bet on the announcement/release I would say announcement tomorrow and release on April 1st.. total shot in the dark!

I was first in line for the Droid release and will be passing the Droid to my wife and getting the Incredible for myself (I'm a bad husband). Her phone is totally messed over and I'm just waiting for the Incredible to come out, so hurry up VZW!!

Thanks for the crack-like addiction to this thread BTW

ctia has thier own twitter account. also think cnet will be tweeting during the course. would be great if if there was a reliable source or app that would pull all the info into one stream.

Sorry, my mind was racing with possibilities. So it can't be Droid stuff in there. Thanks for eliminating that for me! ;)

I'll tell you what. Gimme your friend's phone number at the store, I'll call him pretending to be from Verizon corporate, and I'll tell him to consider this his further instruction.

"Open...the...box. NOW." :)

Im gonna assume you mean ounces.

Ok, time to start dispatching people to vzw stores to intercept mail trucks.

Edit: Wow 200 pages about this phone, its one of those things you're proud to be a part of, but would never brag to your friends about.

Is it possible the materials are for the N1? The red and black on the propaganda is more of a Verizon thing than an Incredible thing, right? I would think that even if they don't carry the phone in the store, they might have a dummy there and a way to order it online. Does anyone know how it's working at Tmobile? Was there a dummy N1 in the store at release?

Damnit Guys! She's pulling me to the gym with her. I'll be back in 2 hours.

I expect to hear more about this red tape when I return

Not saying I doubt anyone or anything like that, but I work for FedEx, the Express side as well, and we don't deliver on Sundays except for very rare instances (Christmas or Valentine's day on a sunday.) So it may have come today, but it didn't come FedEx. Just saying...

Edit: It could have come Saturday, in which case the shipper has to pay extra and it's a big important deal for the company to have it delivered no matter what.

Does FedEx offer weekend delivery?Yes. Saturday delivery is available with FedEx Priority Overnight (tender your shipment on a Friday) and FedEx 2-Day (tender your shipment on a Thursday) in the majority of US cities. An additional fee applies. For Sunday delivery, we offer FedEx SameDay within the US and FedEx International Next Flight for international deliveries. Call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 to request.

When there's bad weather, I have had Fed-Ex deliver on a Sunday. It snows a lot up here, remember, and there was snow falling on the passes between here and Bellevue yesterday.
