Using up a lot of RAM

Today, I noticed that my phone was using aroudn a gig of ram.

No matter how what I did it stayed there. However, when I restarted my phone it went down to 500mb. So, my question is, is it smart to restart the phone once a week or so. While using the task killer daily?

Or is there a way to clear this RAM???

Thanks guys

You do not need to clear RAM. Unused RAM is Wasted RAM. RAM works best when full. If it's not full, its not being efficient.

Then my phone experiences the most lag when it's at its most efficient?!? I'd say long-pressing the Home key to bring up the Android task manager and clear from there. 3rd party task killers should not be used.

There is nothing wrong at all in restarting your phone once a week as it is no diffetant from a pc !
It clears a lot of temp files ect ect so you go for it .
