Hi , im a newbie to rooting and alla shizz

i have a samsung galaxy ace
and i would like to root it and put a custom rom on it but tbh havent got a clue can someone provide me with the resources and step by step please:D:confused::confused:

for rooting and using your phone as administrator you have to download universal androot, superuser and root explorer from play store. install everything. run universal androot and follow instructions, its quite easy, it will root your phone. then start superuser and grant root explorer superuser access. then start root explorer, it should display "superuser permissions granted to root explorer" ... you are done ..
Somebody please tell how to upgrade from 2.2.2 to 4.0, there is no option of system update in settings->about phone .. i have iball andi 2 phone with same specifications as samaung galaxy ace .. i want to upgrade it from. 2.2.2 to 4.0 or 4.1 ... from where i can download custom rom for my handset and what after it ...

iBall ANDI 2 - Specifications, Price, Gallery, Videos | AndroidOS.in check this for specifications of my headset .. will it support android 4.0 or not please tell ...

This forum is for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 only, do a search and see if there is any development going on for your device.
Your handset specifications seem similar to ace and we are not getting an official android 4.0 upgrade from samsung, they don't seem interested in supporting older models, so it seems less likely that iBall will give you one, but there's no harm in searching. Google a bit and you may find something interesting.
