Help Google Wallet on Sprint no longer working?

When I got the S3, Google Wallet appeared to be functioning properly (I just didn't get a chance to actually test it in a store). Went to the app the other day and got the message "Not supported: Unfortunately, Google Wallet is not yet available for your device or mobile network."

Anyone have any insight to what may be going on? My carrier is Sprint.
 
it's a possibility the system or server is down...I'm pretty sure the device is capable, lol, it was a major selling point...but then again, the phone was supposed to launch on the 21st, and the 28th too...

edit: after updating my phone to the security update they had. it gives me this message "This version of the Google Wallet app os no longer supported. Please download the latest version from Android Market"

but the app is already updated to the latest version =/

Idk why yours wouldn't work. I have the Sprint 32 Blue. I know that mine gave me the message saying that it wasn't carrier or country supported the first few days I had it but last night I decided to try it one more time and it let me in and and it still works.
 
I read a negative report in the market that said Sprint is pushing their "wallet" and that is why they stopped allowing GoogleWallet to work on their network.

Well i read some articles and it appear that the error I have is also on the HTC EVO 4G LTE ... Google Wallet updated the app today to fix it but it didn't do the trick. So im guessing its temporary.

I heard they are pushing their own payment system as well. But I doubt they would stop google wallet from being in these devices. I trust google budget and connections then sprint itself.

That's interesting...the latest update fixed it for me. Have you uninstalled it and/or installed the upgrade from the market? Can you check what version you're using? Mine is 1.1-R67-v12
 
like other people in this thread, i am having the same issue. I just exchanged my EVO 4G LTE for the S3, and the EVO had the same exact issue, its not the phone, it's the network and if you call Google, all they will tell you is that they are working on a fix.
