How to recover unsaved recorded videos

Hi,

I was recording a video but pressed the back button before clicking the stop button in the video recorder. :( Is their a way to recover that video? I guess that that ll be stored in some temp folders since it was showing about size of 47MB while recording. I thought it'll be saved automatically but I couldn't find it any where on my SD.

Please help!

I also did not saved the video on my Galaxy S.
Is it possible to recover that video.

Please help.

Hi Gammer, How do I get into viewing the LOST.DIR using the phone or do I have to take the SD card out and connect it to a PC?

Thanks

I'm not saying they will definitely be in there but it's worth a try.
You can go into your apps draw and look for 'My Files' and go in that way or just connect to your pc.

Gammer, Thanks for that, I had a look and there are no files in LOST.DIR but found some in the DCIM and DOWNLOAD folders which I had deleted. ;)
Not everything I wanted but good anyway.

Thanks a million.

I did the same thing with having it on 'pause' and pressing back. Just recovered the full video!

So in what folder you found that video? Or that program don't show you this info?

BTW, my photos and videos are saved in DCIM/Camera folder. How can I set default folder for my vids? Thanks in advance.

so sad..it's last year june issue..nobody able help~?
I met the same problem last nite~ ><
no solution???

same issue. They really should have the program save if you exit, seeing that hitting the stop button and saving aren't synonymous....

So I used Wondershare Photo Recovery and extracted like 900 MB of files (mp4, 3gp, 3g2, mov, mv4) that were lost, each roughly 123 mb, numbered from 0018-0023. The problem is, with the exception of a single file that I did deleted, none will play. VLC crashes everytime I try to play them. Any suggestions?

yeh anybody have any idea?

recorded a video, i did not press stop button. i might have paused and backed out, or something. the video did not save.

used wondershare recovery. it recovered a bunch of video files, but the one i want will not play.

Guys, i just doing simple things and it's worked for me, just copy the temp_video file to your PC and rename the ext to *.mp4, and play on your media player.

its worked for me... please try..

But how did u do ? I had tried so many times and the wondershare just recover the deleted files only, not the unsaved file (i was recording an important video and accidentally pressed 'back button' :( I know there must be a way to retrieve back my unsaved video because i'm 'recording' that time so there must be a way to locate that hidden file video i guess. :/

I wish someone could help me..please :(
I would be appreciate if there's someone could tell me how to get my unsaved video.
Thanks ..

Hi, I did the same, recorded a video, stopped, and then pressed the back button without first saving the video. Bit of a poor feature really. I found this thread when trying to find out how to restore the video. I managed to restore the video luckily, thought I'd pass it on how I did it. I have an app installed called 'Dumpster', which is a recycle bin for Android. I checked, and found the video in there, just restored.
I'd highly recommend this app. It's saved me a few times now.
I appreciate this might be a bit late for some of you, but there are Windows tools like Pandora Recovery which might help.

Android phone is not like computer .When you delete data on pc,you can find the deleted data from recycle bin .The data deleted on android ,you can not recover directly .So with the aid of some tool, you can recover samsung galaxy videos completly .
