Help Screen on whilst charging

Via the display menu, I've set it so that my screen stays off whilst charging. However, after a reboot, this resets itself so that the next time my I charge my phone, the screen will stay on.

You on a custom ROM or Stock?

I'm on ARHD, turned it off and on a couple of times and seems to have stuck now.

Stock for the moment, I was going to root and install a ROM today, but ME3 got the better of me.

Not had that issue at all myself, my screen stays off while charging also switches off if i have used the phone while charging too.

Mine is the International version, S/W 1.29.401.11

Perhaps it could be a quirk of the carrier branded software.

I was actually thinking that myself, I don't recall it ever being an issue on previous handsets Software versions.

It could be the combination of the carrier software & the fact that the HOX seems a bit quirky at the present, hopefully when the new updates come through yours will settle down & behave like it should.

Ok, this is weird. I rooted and installed another ROM at the weekend and it's still doing it.....

Yep, I set to screen off whilst charging. I charge and the screen stays off as expected.

I reboot, head back to settings, there's a tick in the box telling the screen to stay awake whilst on charge. For whatever reason, the reboot is messing about with things.

I'll reflash if it gets quiet at work this evening, see if that makes a difference. Just thought it was mighty weird that it was doing it stock and on a custom ROM.

This bug drives me nuts because I forget about it, plug in my phone at night when I go to bed, and wake up to find the screen's been on all night. Can't be good for the longevity of the device to have the backlight and LCD running for 7+ hours.
