Help Widget does not appear after installation

RAZR Maxx running ICS. After installing any new apps that have widgets they do not show up in the app drawer. I have to reboot my Maxx for the widget to show up in the app drawer. This only started happening after upgrading to ICS.

It won't be in the "App" drawer. At the top to the right of "ALL APPS" you shoul see "Widgets"

So you reboot the phone and Widgets are there? What happens to them, do they disappear? Can you post a screenshot of the widgets being there, and then not there?

You'll probably want to clear the local cache for all of your widgets and see if that helps. If that doesn't, then a factory reset is probably best. It's been mentioned many times that a major OS update like ICS can play havoc with apps, and the phone will run much better after doing so.
 
You're downloading a widget, then it doesn't appear in the widget section until after you've rebooted? That is odd. I tested my Maxx with ICS last night and soon as it finished installing I had my new app and new widget in their respected place.

You might try and go into play store settings and change the setting for automatically adding widget to the home screen and see if cycling that makes a difference at all. Stranger things have happened.

I tried that and had the same results.. no widget.. The app I downloaded was Jango and the widget was not there. I rebooted and the widget was there..
 
I'm having the same problem with my MAXX. I just had it warranty replaced. My old Maxx never did this. I'm thinking a factory reset would do the trick, but I just got it all setup.

Mine is doing the same thing. When I restart the phone the widget will show up. I tried a factory reset with no avail. I was hoping a replacement would fix it but it seems it may not.
 
hi all,
I am having the same issue too, but I dont see what is there to panic in this...i installed a widget app and it did not show in the widget section too until i rebooted the device...so what? its not like we are installing a lot of apps on a single day. maybe ics was designed this way for a few apps.
a few minutes of waiting for your favourite app is not gonna kill your time ..innit ?
