who upgraded to ICS and your thoughts

I was just wondering how many of you upgraded your razr maxx to I.C.S.? I personally didn't after reading alot of the complaints and I'm personally satisfied with how my maxx hasn't had any weird behavior problems or new troubles that I have read about. I have enough to worry about in life without adding the stress of how to constantly try fix a perfectly good phone.
 
I think both OS's have thier pro's and cons. With ICS, my battery life is a little lower, but thats also 'cause Im doing more with my phone (Fancy widget clock/weather, etc.). When I say "lower", when I would get 10 hours or more with very light use on GB, and still have 90/100% battery, with ICS I have 90%. I think the increased speed of the browser, and being able to disable bloatware is key points in wanting to swith to ICS.

Most of us have. And almost everyone is quite happy with ICS. There really were not a lot of problems, and those that happened aren't that major. People are far more likely to post problems they had with the update than they are to post "everything went perfectly fine, and now I'm quite happy with my new phone". And many of the complaints really aren't problems with ICS, just differences. The user has used to the old setup, and now there is a new one.

Which isn't to say that you should, or shouldn't update. If your happy with the phone with gingerbread, and don't really want anything that ICS offers then by all means stay with GB.
 
ICS = new to you, more screen time.

I'm also a believer in running the battery down a few times to get the voltages into batterystats. OS uses that to report battery life. If you don't run down, it could report 20% but you might actually have 38% of the battery left!

New OS features, but I'm in apps most of the time :D:D
 
I updated. I was looking forward to it because my Asus tablet came with ICS. I have had ZERO problems, and it is stable and super FAST. A huge improvement in battery life (I was already blown away before, but I've easily gotten about 20-25% more life and efficiency after updating). Of course you are going to be hesitant, so was I! But you only hear from the complainers. I recommend it.
 
The GB UI had some butt ugly components (notably the scrolling numbers in calendar, timer, and clock apps), coming from Sense on an HTC Incredible 2. ICS cleaned that up a lot.

However, for me, the upgrade to ICS is a must as I go to Europe regularly and need GSM support for those trips.

Battery use, compared the Incredible 2, is superb, ditto for radio performance, that was also a problem with the Incredible 2.

ICS... don't leave home without it. :D
 
I love mine. It's not as bad as people make it seem. They post because they aren't happy. If only we had everyone who was happy creating new threads then I bet you wouldn't even be able to see the complaints because they would be pushed so far back
 
Maybe there is no excitement about improvements in functionality, but the improvement in speed is definitely there.
 
When I got the update earlier this month, it was like getting a birthday present :D. I loved the new OS after a factory reset. Now, my phone is new again with new options and features. This should hold me over until the next update or new phone maybe next year. I'm going to keep it stock and not root because ICS provides all what I need and want right now.
