speedtest.net app - How well does your One X perform.

I was curious about my data connection in another thread. Then I thought it would be interesting to have some data speed comparisons.

I know these are going to be wildly different, but how much so?

I downloaded speedtest.net app and chose the nearest server.

Result:

Download 4.5Mbs
Upload 0.476 MBA

I'm with T-Mobile and I get anywhere from 1.5mbps to 3mbps depending on where I am and the time of day.

This is at work via Orange/T-Mobile. It's the only place I ever need 3g to any great length so I'm happy.

I can actually see the Tower from my seat.

Ahh..

I can't believe how fast mine is, to be totally honest I did rerun a few times & have had scores at your level. I bet yours gets slower, better & about the same. Try it at diffent times.

I just did the manual update to 4.0.4 from HTC's website (which completely wiped my phone) last night...

37.78Mbps down, 3.88Mbps up over WiFi at work!

I won't even bother to test on AT&T's signal right now because I can barely get reception here...

They just turned on LTE in my area the day before yesterday. I went from an average of 2 mbps to this:
