Help Ringer Volume

When I get a phone call, the ringer volume starts out real low and then after about 3-4 secs, it jumps to whatever volume level it's set on, which if you have it set at max volume, is a pretty big difference. Is there any way to make it so that there isn't that initial jump in volume level after a few secs and just have 1 smooth ring? Not sure if it matters but I am using ringtones generated by the MP3 Ringtone app.

PS - Sorry for all of the threads, I just think it's better if I make a separate thread for each item so stuff doesn't get overlooked.

The only way I've come across to turn off the increasing ring is to root and install a mod which turns it off. It was the same on my gs2, I never did understand why as it's always seemed like a big overlook.

Don't worry about different threads for different questions as it will help others who use the search button for similar problems to find an answer:)

I have been wondering the same thing. If anyone knows how to accomplish this without rooting, please let us know!

You may want to see if there is any difference with the option "volume increase when phone is in pocket". This option is located in the call settings when you have the phone call screen up. See if that is checked. Just throwing out options for ya. It's amazing the phone knows it's in my pocket. It does start out quiet for a split second then gets nice and load. I'l never miss another call with this feature enabled. The GNexus was horrible about this, never got a call when my phone was in my pocket. I'm assuming the phone screen turns on when it's in your pocket, being dark in you pocket it senses this and turns the volume up, LOUD!
