Hello, I've decided to root my phone but before I do so I have a few questions.
The main reason I'm rooting is because I want to get rid of all the bloatware that came with my phone. I bought my phone off Amazon (I have the GSM version - PrimoU), and it appears to have what I believe is an Asian ROM. Since I'm from Costa Rica, it doesn't make much sense for me to have an "Asian" phone. So now that I'm rooting, I thought I'll just go ahead and ask: is it possible to replace the ROM with the stock one from another region? If I do so, would that ROM come with a whole lot of bloatware?
On the topic of ROM's, in the event that I need to restore the stock ROM, from this thread, how do I know which one is the correct RUU for my device? There seem to be quite a few different ones from Asia...
Third thing, before starting, what's better: Titanium Backup or Nandroid? Different people suggest me one or the other, I just don't know which one is better.
And finally, if I root my phone, would I not be able to receive software updates? I believe I read somewhere that you would need to re-root your phone after every update, or something along those lines, is that correct?
Excuse me for all the questions, it's the first time I root a phone and my very first smartphone, so bear with me if I'm a little nervous messing with my phone's system files. I've already flashed files to my previous feature phone, so I already have previous experience doing similar things, just not on an Android smartphone.
