Root [International] Rooted S3 - Wants me to update - No custom ROM

So I rooted my phone using this method a little over a month ago and I've not installed a custom ROM.

Yesterday my phone popped up a message about a software update, I postponed it, but it keeps popping up with the option to postpone either every 30 minutes, 1 hour or 3 hours.

The message says "Previous update package downloaded. Install update now? (During installation the device cannot be used, not even for emergency calls)"

Can I install this? Would it work? If it did, would it remove my root access? Is getting root access back as easy as it was to do in the first place (would I use the exact same method with the same files I downloaded?).

If I don't need to install this update, is there a way to hide this message and stop it from popping up all the time?

It will remove root access. I would recommend flashing a custom ROM. You'll be up to date, but also have those performance and battery saving tweaks..

As for suppressing the error, Sorry not sure.

Thanks both.

I'd like to at some point but I'm a bit nervous about doing it wrong and not really sure where to start or which custom ROM to choose.

You can stop it from asking for the update by freezing the update app.

That did it, thanks for the help.
