email problem, please help..

Newbie
I need some help, I just got my sgs3 with att...I got my 2 email accts set up under the universal email inbox, but when i get hotmail, I have to scroll to the bottom of the email to push ..LOAD MORE DETAILS...in order to see the pic, meaning I only get the text, and it is driving nuts...I have no problem viewing google e mails..
Any clues..

Is it added as a exchange mail? If yes that's the problem. Then you need too add it as pop/imap
 
Thanks very much for your fast response...yes , it was added as an exchange acct, just followed instructions add the accts, but now, how do I get the acct to be pop/imap...What should I do...

You need to add a new and choose manually setup, there you can setup as pop/imap
 
why do you want to use POP - isn't that old technology and then you can't sync the emails on your PC vs your phone?
 
Thanks a lot Knudsen..that solved one problem, I have 2 more I like to ask you...
with the email now working fine, I see that my hotmail calenadr is not sync, any ideas as to how to get that one on board?
Also, you might hacve the answer to this one, IT IS ALSO DRIVING WILD...WHEN i AM OUTDOORS, the phone rings, it takes about 5 seconds for caller id to lit up on the screen...please help..thanks..

About calendar i don't know sorry, but I can say hotmail and exchange is only problem on sgs3, I use my old Nexus now and no problem with it more.

I had no problem with caller id on sgs3
 
i have a pop email account set up and the emails are showing as read before I even open them. Any idea how to fix this or why it is happening?

Exchange on the SGS3 is not a problem it works great. When you try to setup a none exchange account on the SGS3 it will be a problem. Keep in mind i'm not saying that a none exchange email account will not work on the SGS3. But if you try to setup a Imap or POP as a exchange you might have problems

Why does nexus, iPhone and other phone works with hotmail as exchange account but not sgs3
 
I agree it is kind of a bummer for the end user but for an exchange administrator it is good news. Exchange is more of a enterprise type of mail host with controls and rules for company's to manage it's corp mail.
