Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Think you guys have convinced me to go CNA while waiting for AOKP. BTW...which recovery are you guys using? I'm still stuck on the old Clockwork that has the problems with navigating the menus.

Flash TWRP, trust me you'll love it. You can do it simply with Goo.Manager from the Play Store.
Restoring everything with CNA. Little peeved that Chief said a new one will be out today, but whatever. I'll give it a shot.

I think I will shamelessly plug this app as it is developed / supported by one of our own friendly moderators. It lets you easily manage recoveries plus a lot of other stuff.

Thanks guys! Will give it a shot! So I don't have to flash the new recovery via fastboot? Can do it right from one of those apps, right?

Wow, CNA is legit. :) Lot's of stuff I had in Liquid, but more.
Think I've read it elsewhere, but how do you use the themes? Download the TMo ones from the Play Store?

Edit: Well, maybe I spoke too soon. Went to change the height of the nav bar, rebooted and now we're hanging at the Google logo. :(
Finally, took FOREVER to get to boot. Phew, thought I had to start over.

See my post a few before yours, it is dead simple with that app. Scary Alien did a nice job putting it together.

Holy *&^$, what kernel is this running?
I can OC to 1.8? A little scared to. :o

Edit: Looks like faux b19. Haven't flashed too many kernels on my Gnex. We'll see what happens.

2nd on the themes. I know nothing about them. What do you search for?

I wonder if that's why I am having a hard time typing on JB - maybe I was really used to the reduced height navbar I had set on AOKP. That would make A LOT of sense.

Themes can be downloaded from the Market, then installed and then they are pickable from the TMobile theme chooser. You can use the app linked below to find all themes - I've never used it but heard good things.

Um, yeah, TWRP ROCKS! Flashing CNA right now.

Had to use the Goo Manager Pup...dropbox dls are blocked here and my 3g just wasn't cutting it today. I do like the layout of the Root Toolkit though and will probably use it for stuff as well.

Ok kids, I think once CNA drops their new version I'll jump to it. Xenon is nice but I'm not seeing anything spectacularly different from when I was running Liquid ICS. (Other than Google Now but I'm a tad boring these days and have only used one card for weather). :D

Why aren't more cards showing up? Do you have things sync'd with Chrome on your PC? Or at least all your search results?

Having some glitches. Tried to apply a Sense theme (don't laugh, just for fun) and it basically nixed my softkeys. Was able to fix and get everything working without restoring.

Hmmm. That's a good question. I'll have to check on that

I love TWRP. I don't like goo manager so I flashed the flashable zip in CWM , rebooted, went back to recovery and TWRP 2.2 was there. WONDERFUL recovery.
