So how do you like your phone?

Hello,

I'm relatively new to the forum and have been considering an HTC One V. I've read some grips on here with things like no removable battery or front-facing camera, but how do you like the phone overall? I.m with U.S. Cellular and it's either this, or a galaxy S III. I hear great things about the Galaxy, but it's so BIG! I like a smaller size phone, so just wanted to get some general opinions. thank you from a new member!

I have both the One V and SG3. Both are fantastic devices. Honestly, I like Sense 4 on the One V better than TouchWiz on the SG3. But they are very different devices at very different prices. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either.

I'm getting mine on Friday. It'll most likely be rooted by the following weekend. I'm going to give it some time on stock to get a feel for it before I start playing with it. The wife already knows I'm going to "mess" with it, just like I did my Optimus V.

That sounds awfully familiar...I just ordered my One V online, and as soon as I did, my lady said "YOU SHALL NOT ROOT!"

I'm glad to see that it's a great phone from what I've read, though. I don't mind the lack of a front facing camera, as I do not skype/video chat anyway.

Mine should be here Saturday, so once it is...you bet I will review it here.

I love the phone. I have had mine for 4 days. Its great. I do not like the stripped down version of sense 4, but it is what it is. Everything works great. I am going to root mine soon as well.

Press and hold the power button for about ten seconds, the capacitive buttons will flash a few times and the phone will reboot. This is the same as a battery pull.
