Help Cannot delete Yahoo email account

I stupidly added my Yahoo account to my Galaxy S3 and now cannot delete it. The phone says it is in use by other apps and the only way to delete it is by doing a factory reset.

For now I have turned off sync but is there any way I can find out which app is using it and delete that app. After spending the weekend downloading all my apps and configuring the screens, I am really not in the mood to do it all over again.

Hold the home button for about 3 seconds, when the screen changes - press the task manager button.

Go to RAM and press clear, it should close all the open applications.

Try deleting your account then.

Argh! Didn't work for me and I tried several times. I even deleted some apps I thought might be associated with my Yahoo account. Any other suggestions?

Assuming you've cleared all open apps and uninstalled some others - might have to just perform a factory reset.

menu> settings> application manager> all> email> select force stop, selct clear data.
