Resident Linux Nutcase
Hey, everyone!
So I have decided to start this neat little thread, right here. Yes, this one.
So, everyone. What is your OS of choice, and why?
What about it is something you like? Maybe you could share some secrets/tweaks/etc you have? (Especially to those conky fans ;D)
So how about it?
Me? Its Scientific Linux. Based on RedHat, one of my favorite distros. Using Gnome2 for that nice, yet simplistic look. And it just...works for what I need. Usually, configuring BCM4313 wireless cards can be quite annoying, especially if it won't let you compile from source.
However this one, it worked (sluggishly) out of the box, and all I had to do was open terminal, and install broadcom-wl. My PC runs GREAT with this.
What about you folks? Windows? Mac? Some sort of Linux/Unix build? Please, enlighten me. There are a few of you who I'm really curious about what you use.
