30days..... must be a local thing.... I'm going back after work!

burner ... seriously .. i think you were given bad info. check it out.

cuz .. i'm a couple weeks into the droid and I might keep it. I was completely against it at first, but I am more into it every day.

also ... i got my rebate back already, it is a quick turnaround.

the website is pretty clear. my reciept also reflects 30 day return policy.

Yeah but at least Apple tells you when it's coming out. And everything I have read in here makes me feel cautious about android -- like it's not ready for prime time yet! Delayed software updates, delayed hardware, a phone from Google, a phone from a carrier.....to me this is a mess! I would rather take boring and works over dynamic and unreliable! After this mess, I would jump on a Verizon iphone in a minute!

You have to realize none of this "mess" has anything to do with the quality of the operating system.

Android is already better in many (many say most, some say all) ways than the iPhone OS.

Just buy a Droid if you're that concerned with what's being said here. It's an awesome phone.

the problem we have here is someone gets information right out of a managers mouth and you guys act as if they are lying.

You have 15 days not 30!

If you use the device for more than 60min of talk time there's a $35 fee rather you get another phone or not.

I asked and was informed. Company policy according to her. Maybe it's changed since the last time you checked.

I'm not trying to insult you here, but more question the store you were at or the manager you talked to... Because that would mean the policy has changed since noon and 7 pm yesterday at two different locations where I spoke to CSR's. The policy has been, and it doesn't seem to have changed, 30 days and a restocking fee if you don't return to a previous phone you already own. I even managed 31 days, purchased on Dec. 19 and returned on Jan. 19, reactivated my xv6900 with no restocking fee. I know there is talk about the restocking fee policy changing but as of yesterday it had not been changed by Verizon. So you may want to investigate at a different store near you.

The higher ups don't care what we want, and sending them numerous messages won't get them to release this phone any sooner. They are on a schedule that is set in stone. Companies like Verizon Wireless don't just haphazardly release phones. This release has been internally planned and set for a long time now. It's called a business plan. They have to stick to it. There are too many entities involved to just decide to release a phone out of the blue. It all has to be pre-planned for advertising, marketing, testing, production, etc. Emailing them isn't going to get an answer. Because we are just a small percentage of the Verizon customer base. Probably about 1% or less. They have bigger things to worry about than us wanting a phone. They have to make money and have a game plan to maximize profits as much as possible. If this phone hasn't released yet, it's for good reason from a financial prospective for Verizon Wireless and it's share holders. Nothing person towards you, but that's just the facts.

Don't you think some where in there you should have said "Announcing"?

No. Announcing, releasing? Who cares. Do we just want them to announce the phone and that's it? No. The ultimate goal is to have one of these in our hands. Period.

p.s. You're not trying to critique me to try to get under my skin and start an argument, are you? I sure hope not. Because I hardly think my posts are argument worthy. I'm just trying to contribute and add to the conversation. I suggest you do the same.

Verizon Nexus One and HTC Incredible: Scratching our heads

You could boil this entire forum into this article. At least someone is listening.

I absolutely agree. In my area Verizon is my only option - otherwise I would be at a Sprint store signing up for an HTC EVO right now. I am a fan of Android, so that is what I want on a phone.

As much as I love my Eris, the signal is so weak that I cannot reliably use it in much of the area in which I live and travel. I want to try another Android phone (other than a Droid, which I tried and did not care for).

This thread has been a wild ride, but the bottom line is: Verizon blew it. If another carrier plants a tower within reach of my home and general area... I'm gone! :(

You get caught doin' that at VZW I heard they feed you c*ckmeat sandwiches for the rest of your life. They don't eff around :D

EDIT: I was referring to harold and Kumar escape from gitmo

I think what most people want @ this point is just some sort of confirmation or announcement from Verizon. I think that would put a lot of minds at ease if they could have some sort of confirmed time frame to base a decision on. So without Verizon even acknowledging this phone yet ... I'm going to do the wait and see like everyone else I suppose. My wife's NE2 is up tomorrow and she is dying to replace her DARE. Hopefully I can fight the temptation of copping the DROID BOGO.

Yeah, well, maybe that manager IS lying or is misinformed.

Here's the VZW return policy. Still 30 days:

No. No offense whatsoever meant to you, Nashdroid. Am I getting under your skin?
