Root LGL45C Recovery Flashing guide

Hi so now your rooted ok but you want roms right so first you need A recovery.
THIS IS ONLY FOR THE LGL45C NOT THE P690


Un-zip View attachment files.zip and place flash_image(no extension) on the root of your SDcard, along with LGL55C_recovery.img that you just downloaded.

Then to install, in "terminal Emulator" on your phone, type:
su
mount -o remount, rw /system
cp /sdcard/flash_image /system/bin
cd /system/bin
chmod 777 flash_image
flash_image recovery /sdcard/LGL55C_recovery.img
reboot recovery

And you now flash a recovery IF you want roms For this i Will make a thread later:D View attachment files.zip
 
Hopefully you can help me then.
I ran the terminal commands you posted, and was happy for a few, brief moments when CWM booted. But things weren't meant to be as none of the menus work.
Any ideas?

P.S.My wife's phone is the LG45C (Net10), and mine is the Evo.

Same here. i had CWM recovery pop up and i was happy but i tried pushing home, menu, power, and search button- and none of them "select" an option. I can't select anything. It will let me move up and down along the cwm options but im unable to make a selection. :(
:) :)*******I used the camera button to make selections!! I'm so happy!. It works after all. Volume buttons to move up and down and the Camera (To take pictures) button to accept/select options.******* :) :)

Yeah the phone still boots. Just when the menus are opened, they go nowhere. The CWM background logo is there with nothing on top of it.
Someday soon I'll try flashing it again. But I think I already did once. Wish someone would do a Smelkus mod of AmonRA for her phone. That Recovery kicks..

That worked thank you so much!
Just wish I had figured it out sooner. Her phone has slowed down to a crawl and I've been going through all her recently installed apps in hopes of figuring out why. If I had a backup already made. I would have been able to restore.
 
Ive installed these items on my sd, but when i reinsert my sd it still does the same thing (flashing lg sign). Please help me.

I finally fixed my phone, after 3 hours, I couldn't figure out that I needed to download this stock rom and install it via the cwm recovery , rom manager had me confused because it installs cwm but my phone wasn't listed also, thanks for the help tho, u led me in the correct direction, but next question is now I have the cwm I can install different roms? Also rom manager says I don't have cwm? Lol
 
i did this and my phone does not accept the files. and now it is booting into CWM-based Recovery everytime and I cannot get into the phone. Any suggestions?

My phone says CWM-based Recovery c5.0.2.7
E:Bad boot message
"recovery"

what does that mean? I've been at this for a full two weeks staying up all night, literally, and I've got nowhere.

Im in the same boat. I took my sd card out for a second and now my phone wont boot. It stays in CWM and says bad boot message 'recovery'. Ive tried reflashing a rom. Ive tried to flash boot.img. still stuck in CWM. Do i need to flash cwm again? I dont remember how i even done that. Help!!! Im going crazy
