I have my N7 & so far I'm loving it :-) I've done some tyre kicking, installed a few apps, but I'm sure it'll be a long while before I figure out what this baby can do!

I'd love to get into a bit of programming eventually, play around with usb host to see if I can get some external midi controlling happening via a usb-midi cable. ie. have the N7 be midi sequencer for my Roland synth.

Am I the only one using this tablet for work?

If only someone would make a rugged waterproof case it would be awesome. Or if there was interest I would make some.
 
I had a weird event today with Google Wallet, caused my screen to shut off while initiating, I would turn it on, and unlock it, only to turn right back off.

I haven't had that. I did notice today (first time I used it since the any card update) that the warning message on rooted devices isn't there anymore. Must be because it is cloud based.

Well I'm still stock on mine. And a reboot fixed my problems. Just weird.
 
Hey everyone, I finally got my N7 that I won in the Google IO contest! I can now bug you guys in here!
 
I still get the message about unsupported device, but my CC's, Amex and Citi MC both now appear (had them added via the web). Haven't tried NFS purchase yet, will give it a try today. Don't need anything, but maybe a cup of coffee or sumptin'.

Also has anyone notice anything strange about their USB OTG for storage? Had a weird thing yesterday, but will post in the OTG forum....look for it there.
 
What version of Wallet are you guys updating to? The latest update I saw was available on August 1st. Confused as to why you guys are just now getting it or if there is a newer one.

Running CNA 3.3.1, I got 2 days and 7 hours off the charger with 6 hours of screen on time on my latest charge. Not bad.

Not from the market app, came as email to my google account. Selected the link and installed from browser. Still getting "unsupported device" message but my cards that I entered from the web are showing up.

is it me or has the n7 just lost its buzz... its too stingy to modding for my likes and all roms give me the same thing

I am in love with mine, Cammy. Its the perfect size for browsing and casual gaming. Even my wife is using it, and she didn't want anything to do with my Acer tablet. My son is really addicted, he wants it 24/7. I wish I had another $200 to burn, I would get him his own. :D
 
Alright, giving ROMing one more shot. Going with the 8/20 AOKP. Backing up now. Crossing fingers. :o

Edit: and the ROM was unsuccessful. Why does my N7 hate me? :(
Going to try Codename now.
 
I think I just found a bug.

I attempted it with every type of security on the lock screen. I was playing music. Pulled my aux cable. Waited a few minutes hit the power button to play through the speaker. Volume was a little low so I hit the button to make it louder and it by passed the security unlock.
 
What recovery are you using? Which version? Perhaps that's the problem. Like I said, I was really skeptical this time. Looks like AOKP's ROM was either a bad download or corrupted. CNA loaded just fine and the process was nice and smooth. Maybe it's the tablet UI tweak you've done?
