Help galaxy s3 email

hello every one
just bought a new galaxy s3 unlocked, set up gmail on it works fine notification sound and icon works when i recieve a email.
but when i set up my virgin emails with the stock email app ( not gmail app) and some one sends a email i recieve the email but no notification icon or sound , all the relevent boxes are ticked, icon and notification sound
can any one help or is the phone faulty?

Hi David and welcome to the forum.

I'm not too familiar with the stock email app so I'll move this to the main gs3 forum where I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.:)

When you click the button to reply to a post, under the submit reply button is another section. Change it down there to notify you of any replies (Notification type). it will then email you any replies you get.
 
iam lossed!!!!!! how do i see if anyone as replied to my problem? wheres the submit the reply button? i sent you this with the quick reply button ...
 
At the top of the first post on the left and under the last post on the left is a Reply button. It brings up the full editing section. The quick reply thing bypasses that part.

Take a look at the two screen shots to help you.

Change it to Instant Email Notification and whenever someone replies it will email you immediately (To the email address you have listed in your forum profile).

Another thing you can do is click your name at the top of the forums to go to your profile, then click on statistics then click on find all posts by this user or find all posts started by this user.
