Tether on metro?

Generally, it's against the terms of service unless your paying extra for it.

Although with fcc cracking down on Verizon if you aren't on unlimited data you should be able to tether for free soo. Enough

misunderstood >.< sorry bout that getting late getting tired. Hmm I didn't see anything on there sight about tethering plans I guess a call is in order. I am really hoping to upgrade my phone in the next month or so. I wanna go with a 4G phone bad in fact I was kinda planning to upgrade this month but once I learned new phones where coming out I decided to wait.

I don't use metro for carrier service, so calling them and hearing it straight from them would probably be your best bet:)

Its against the terms of service on phones that Metro didnt allow Hotspots on. The Lightray is the first one they have allowed it on and only on two plans, the 50 and 60 dollar LTE plans. All new 4G phones will have it enabled.

That answers my question then thanks.

ive been metro's biggest tetherer since their first 4g android phone was released and thats the samsung indulge and let m debunk their bluff " its pure bs they wont terminate your service for anything" its all a bluff ive tethered my 2.5gb 3 times in 3 months nothing ever happens truth is your too precious to let go on metro pcs.

I hope you are right about that.if i like what i see in the lg motion im gonna be making the switch to metropcs.i just hope i dont put to many flags up when they see im using 30+gb a month

me and a member named ricky sometimes depend on our phones for our only internet access on our personal computers. ricky depends more on it cuz its his only connection and since hes on old grandfathered in unlimited plan he never see his limits. he downloads alot of movies ill tell u that much, im a netflix, pandora internet streamer. and none of us have ever recieved a call or a txt from metro warning us of anything. all they have done is black listed browser's normal user agent codes which is easy to bypass.

This is good to here I was kinda wondering knowing Metro is smaller if maybe they tend to over look things someone like Verizon will bring the Hammer down on you for you.

I am really hoping to upgrade to the 4g Go Quattro phone when it releases soon. I know its not the best phone out there but at the rumored 100-150 dollar price tag. I think it will meet my 4G phone needs while allowing me to use my tablet tethered

if you decide to go with the $70 plan there is a workaround but its best we not talk about it here or anywhere else for that matter.

Oh its ok to discuss it the site owner rob decided we could discuss on how to tether and bypass blocks so with that being said when he gets his phone feel free to show him the ropes :D

This makes double since now with a court ruling that Verizon could not block people from tethering there devices.

well if verizon is charging them for a certain data package like metro is doing with their $50 2.5gb or the $60 6.5 gb i believe then dont see how can that amount of data being used matter in how its being used i mean think about it 2.5gb of data is just 2.5gb of data so does no harm to the network in how you choose to use up all that data.

Exactly the entire argument of it eats there bandwidth is void. Data is date if anything the phone company's should embrace the idea. There are plenty of people out there who would happy splurge for the more expensive plan if given the ability to tether with out repercussions.
