Help Galaxy s3 Music Player Problem

Hello All: Just got my GS3 and love the device except for an issue with the stock music player; It will intermittently stop playing/pause restart song or switch songs all its own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. After much research including having att perform a "samsung" analysis, And reset of th base device software to no avail. I finally decided to install poweramp. Voila not only have all problems stopped. Poweramp music player sounds much better and is very feature reach.

Have you checked your voice command settings, It could be hearing what it thinks is skip or ff...etc If that's not it trying clearing the data in the music player.

No solution offered but *me too* for it stopping randomly. I have only had this on the stock player.

When this started happening to me on Friday afternoon, soon after, the phone overheated so much I had to shut it down. I disassembled it to let the parts cool down. Then, when I reassembled it, not only had it completely trashed the SD card filesystem, it also had corrupted its own filesystem -- to the degree that videos and MP3 would not play anymore due to (according the new error message on the screenz) thumbnail files it could not open.

I'm in the process of replacing this phone.

This is the third thread I've seen about this skipping problem in so many days.
