^ ^ ^ That should have said charger ^ ^ ^

Could someone tell me if there is a max output figure when buying a car charger, a wotkmate has a G2 and his is rated at 500 mAh.

My wife tried to get one today and can only find cheap ones that don't show an output figure, they were all universal car chargers and list many different makes and models of phone.

Could using one of these damage my S3?

As no one has answered I assume no one knows, does anyone know where i can get a Samsung official in car charger ?

The cheap ones should put out 500 mA if they don't specify since that is the USB specification. Personally, I wouldn't get anything less than 1000 mA (may be shown as 1A). Even if 500 mA will charge the phone, it will be a slow charge.

FYI, I don't have my stock charger on me, but I'm pretty sure it is 1000 mA max output.

I bought this charger pack:

The Capdase Ultimate Charger Pack - MicroUSB

The 1 amp (1000mAh) car charger charges the phone quickly and it hasn't damaged my phone. You should always check the rating before using a charger IMO, as these are expensive devices. You don't want to risk damaging it. I think the S3's official charger is rated at 1 amp.

You can buy official Samsung accessories from the same website.
