Help Portable Hotspot Issues

My portable hotspot keeps switching itself off, over & over. It connects to my Nexus 7, remains ok for a few mins then disconnects fully.
This is happening LOADS & I keep having to reopen the phone.

Is this likely to get worse, better? Is it likely a hard/software issue, or a carrier problem?

Thanks :)

Oh, USN tethered to my PC is ok (on the whole) this is hotspot issue.

Are you using a rooted hotspot solution or are you running a carrier specific version?

Reason being the rooted versions take a little tweaking to get them working on ICS.
If you're running a carrier specific version, you might want to give them a call and see if there is a solution.

Also a good thing to try is holding the power button down until the phone resets. Sometimes this will clear up little bugs like that. :)

I find my Nexus 7 disconnects after a while, sometimes has a little trouble connecting too. Portable hotspot seems to stay on, but says no users.
Might be the Nexus, but I am not having a major issue, just every once in a while.
