This forum reminds me of the old Yahoo chat days where guys would pose as girls....nobody would ever believe they were ever talking to a female regardless of what was said.
We are to the point where we should just sit back and relax and wait for the release...all the speculation in the world is not going to bring the phone any faster.

There are a few people in this forum I trust...NKT, Montana Man, this Tyler Mills dude and maybe a few others...all other talk is just talk. I am not an "insider" so I am thankful that these key individuals actually release good information. Unfortunately all these "people" want pictures, or names etc...that information is impossible to give....I doubt anyone in this forum would give up there job to post a scoop to this forum.

Thank you to NKT, TM, and Montana Man for keeping it real and I cannot wait for the release of this BAD ASS phone. For the people who demand "proof"..take your act somewhere else.

I think our defining moment will be april 1st. If this bogo deal ends and we don't hear anything to me thats a bad sign. I can understand not saying anything at ctia but with all the other major carriers announcing phones verizon has to announce something. It may or may not be the incredible, but lets hope it is.

what is the bogo deal, and why is it the defining moment?

Please do not take this as my doubt in your new info, but wht do you not have pick up the Incredible on these dates on your google calendar.
(Web page - google calendar)

haha, my personal tasks do not show on that calendar (Google Tasks).

The BOGO deal is "buy one get one." Verizon has it going on right now for all smartphones. The idea is that they won't announce a new phone until the deal is over with because they don't want to kill the sales of the Droid and Eris.

Ok so I have a friend I went to college with who works for Verizon, and he told me he has heard the upper management talk about this phone a lot more last week, and supposedly it was supposed to be announced during CTIA, but that there riding the BOGO deal and what people have been saying in here is true about the mid-april release date now, I am excited I can wait two more weeks for this great phone :)

As far as specs are related there should be no 720p recording he said he has seen the phone and nobody he knows said there was the 720p sorry :(

Ok before i make anyone sad obviously this is not confirmed so it very well could come out with 720p recording but i just wanted to say thats another person saying mid-april!

Just wanted to share my pain with everyone:

Today I went to a Washington Capitals game at Verizon Center. They had enormous flashing ads all over the place for DROIDDOES. I checked in to the venue on FourSquare, and someone had posted a message for the venue saying he'd lost his Nexus One there and was offering a reward if anyone found it. Then I saw some people I knew, and one of them was using a Droid Eris.

All of this while carting around my annoying slow, 96MB flash memory, 320x240 screen, BlackBerry Curve with locked down GPS.

My thoughts on what Verizon will do after the BOGO ends is they will drop the price of the Droid and Eris. Maybe to $149/$99 or $99/$49 and see if they can get a few more sales at the new lower price points from customers who had no need for a second phone they could've got from a BOGO sale, and then later on (Say mid-april) introduce the Incredible as the new high end device for $199

Not gonna lie, I would be elated if the Incredible came out with a 2 yr contract price of $199.:

[snip]
Now we're all hoping we're gonna get 720p video from the Inc, and this portion found in the Incredible dump makes me much more confident that we will.

Hope you're right, but its possible that these are the encoder parms.
The encoder is good for 1280x720 [aka 720P] but its still possible that the recording app limits the max resolution to something less than that. My company develops a PC video product for motorsports that provide extensive transcoding including H.264 [ .m4p].

Before anyone starts flaming, all I'm saying is that its not definitive evidence that the Inc will have 720p recording, nor definitive evidence that it won't. We're all hanging on to threads here........

UPDATE:
This just posted by Scrops. Suggests that what I'm saying here may have been confirmed by an HTC exec recently:
there was a video of an htc exec demonstrating sense on (maybe a desire) a relatively new phone in europe... maybe at MWC... anyway, he said the hardware was capable of 720p recording but that it was not enabled... and then said later that it would 'likely' be enabled in a future update.

It's me. I really can't give my source. You guys are going to have to trust me, I fully understand if you are not willing to. I'll be around if you wish to kill me if the dates go by uneventfully. :D

I believe him...why would anyone lie? We are all in the same boat here hoping for the Incredible release asap

+1 on that. wasnt the droid originally priced at $299 with a $100 in store credit. i could be wrong. this phone's specs look to good to be only $199 minus NE2 deduction. im guessing $299 with $50 or $100 NE2 update (depending on plan), possible store credit only is more realistic.

I agree. I'm glad that there's folks out there "in the know" who are willing to share as much info with us as they can. "13th or the 20th" is better than "absolutely no clue" that I had before reading his posts.

This reply in no way means that Tyler should not be believed. In fact anyone whom puts Church every Sunday on their calendar has to be kind of reliable.

However people in all aspects of life are pulled to lying to others. Especially in the case of a forum as this with repect to having the " inside scoop". It makes them feel powerful and important. Power can lead to a lot of self destruction.

My 2 cents worth

Right there with you. Not only did theylock the GPS and make me buy an external GPS puck, but VZW got the worst color scheme BY FAR:mad:. I always envied my friends ATT Titanium colored Curve. Superficial, I know. She's been good to me, but it is time for a new phone.

So the Incredible will be able to be rooted like the N1 is? I watched Carlos Graves' video on battery life and that SetCPU program looks like it rocks. I'm really hoping that a root will eliminate the factory underclock.

while im waiting for the incredible, anyone know how to make my mytouch 3g faster and not freeze every two mother f-in seconds??? LOL

LOL I feel your pain. My Storm 1 locks every time I make a call from my quick dial. My camera crashes the phone every time I open it. I'm so disgusted with it I can't stand it.

Ahhh sounds like my BB 8830. I am so GD sick and tired of seeing that hour glass. I know when it sits there on the hour glass for more then 2 minutes, its time to pull the battery out.

I like when mine loses all the contacts and phone/text history. I am thinking the first thing I record on my incredible is the crushing or microwaving of the blackberry.
