Root I want to root but use a mac

Ok, so I have a question for you guys. I am wanting to root my razr but I am using a Mac. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction to help me root my phone. And yes i have searched but I get confused with all the lingo that i have found seeing how i am new to android. So any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
No disrespect intended, but if you are confused by the "lingo," you are probably better off not rooting your phone. I had rooted my Droid X, but I'm leaving my RAZR unrooted. The benefits are minimal, IMO.
 
There really no need to root unless you want to flash roms(myself) or freeze programs. But with ics you can disable bloatware, and with foxfi you can tether for free, those used to be the main reasons for rooting. I also rooted so I can use titanium backup pro to make it easier when I move from rom to rom
